Fanshawe sticking to blended online, in-person learning through winter semester

With the province being hit by the second wave of COVID-19, Fanshawe College has no intention of returning to in-person only learning anytime soon.

The college has decided to keep its blended learning format, a combination of online and in-person classes, through the winter semester.

“The health and safety of our students, staff and communities continues to be our top priority as we follow guidelines from public health and the government,” Fanshawe President Peter Devlin said in a statement. “Offering our programs in this format reinforces our commitment to deliver classes in the safest learning environment possible.”

The winter semester runs from January 11 to April 23.

There will not be a separate exam week, with all exams and coursework required to be completed by April 23, the college said.

Student services, such as counselling and financial support, will also continue to be offered virtually.
