Cyclist killed in northwest London collision identified

A 77-year-old London man has been identified as the cyclist killed in a collision in northwest London over the Labour Day long weekend.

Claude Liman died after his bicycle and a vehicle collided at the intersection of Gainsborough and Hyde Park roads around 11:35 a.m. on Saturday. He suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision and was rushed to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

According to Liman's obituary, he was cycling with his partner when he was struck.

The driver of the vehicle, a 58-year-old man, was not hurt.

Police continue to investigate the collision.
