Drivers whose commute takes them along Sunningdale Road will need to find a new route for the next two months.
As of Tuesday, Sunningdale between Adelaide Street North and Richmond Street will be closed for infrastructure improvements. The construction will focus on channel work and culvert upgrades that will improve the quality and reliability of the drainage and stormwater system, according to the City of London.
Drivers and cyclists travelling westbound will be redirected at Adelaide to Medway Road, while eastbound road users will be diverted to Richmond and then Medway.
Local traffic will be able to access Canvas Way off of Sunningdale.
Pedestrians will also need to find alternative routes, as foot traffic won't be permitted through the construction zone.
The roadway should reopen at the start of November.
