A man and woman are facing charges after a stolen pickup truck collided with three other vehicles in London's east end on Friday night.
All three collisions happened in the area of Dundas Street and Second Street around 10:15 p.m. Among the vehicles that were hit was one belonging to an off-duty London police officer.
When the pickup came to a stop following the crash, two people jumped out and took off running. The off-duty officer gave chase and ended up arresting a man nearby.
Other officers, including those with the canine unit, arrived on scene and arrested a woman in the area of Dundas Street and Burdick Place.
Nine grams of purple fentanyl, three grams of crystal methamphetamine, and $430 cash were seized by police, who determined the pickup had been reported stolen from Huron East.
A 28-year-old London man is charged with failure to stop at the scene of an accident, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and impaired driving.
A 29-year-old London woman is charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance.
One person involved in one of the collisions was treated for minor injuries.
