Charges have been laid against a 55-year-old St. Thomas man accused of screaming at and repeatedly punching another man during an unprovoked attack in the south end of the city.
The victim was on the street Friday afternoon when he was approached by a man who was known to him. The man began screaming at him and then punched him several times in the face without provocation, St. Thomas police said.
The man took off from the area before police arrived.
A warrant for the arrest of a 55-year-old St. Thomas man was issued soon after. He was taken into custody on Saturday and is charged with assault.
