Provincial police in Norfolk County arrested the same man twice in one day following two separate heated arguments at local businesses.
The first incident happened at a financial institution on Queensway East in Simcoe around 9:54 a.m. on Monday. A man spit on a bank employee during a tense verbal exchange. He then left the bank.
Police were called and a 52-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault and failure to comply with probation.
Roughly 12 hours later, OPP got a call about a disturbance at a restaurant on Norfolk Street. A man inside the eatery was engaged in an argument when he is alleged to have started damaging property.
Again, police were called and a 52-year-old man was taken into custody without incident. He is now charged with mischief and failure to comply with probation.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Simcoe court to answer to all of the charges at a later date.
