London woman charged in unprovoked bear spray attack

London police have made an arrest after a woman was attacked with bear spray for no apparent reason.

The London Police Service said on Thursday, a woman was walking in the area of Dundas Street and Richmond Street, when another woman sprayed her with bear spray. Police said the attack was unprovoked.

The victim was not physically injured

A number of people witnessed the incident and officers responded to the scene. Police arrested a suspect without incident on King Street near Talbot Street shortly after.

Amanda Jeanette Rogers, 23, of London, is now charged with possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon. The victim declined to pursue assault charges.
