Youths charged in knife-point robbery

Two London youths are facing charges after an armed robbery in the north end of the city.

London police said two boys were walking home from a shopping mall around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, when they were approached by two young males in the area of Sunnyside Crescent.

"One boy was pushed to the ground by one of the suspects, and property was taken from both victims," police said in a news release issued Wednesday.

Police added that one of the suspects allegedly took out a knife and demanded more property from the victims. Once he got it, the two males took off, heading west toward Sunnyside Drive.

Police were called and officers were given descriptions of the suspects. Two boys were arrested a short time later.

A 12-year-old London youth is charged with armed robbery, while a 15-year-old is charged with robbery. Their names cannot be released due to their ages.

Police said the victims were not physically hurt.
