There was a single new case of COVID-19 reported in the London region on Tuesday.
The Middlesex London Health Unit said one person tested positive for the virus over the last 24 hours. That is up from zero cases on Monday. The area's total number of cases since the start of the pandemic is now 647.

The confirmed case count in Elgin and Oxford counties has gone up again, this time by two. Southwestern Public Health, the region’s health unit, has now reported a total of six new cases since Saturday following a week where no one tested positive. The two latest cases bring the region's total number to 93. Of those, 80 have been resolved. The death toll remains unchanged at five.
Provincially, Ontario's health minister is calling Tuesday's new COVID-19 numbers "concerning."
Christine Elliott said of the 203 new cases reported over the last 24 hours, 116 of them were among those under the age of 40.
"Today's uptick is the result of localized increases: there are 43 of new cases in Ottawa, 57 in Peel and 24 more in Windsor-Essex. Looking at the age of today's new cases, 116 of them or 57% are 39 years old or younger," Elliott said in a tweet.
Tuesday's case numbers are also the largest single-day increase since late June.
"While one day of data, today’s increase is concerning," added Elliott. "Ontarians of all ages need to continue to adhere to public health guidelines: maintain only one social circle of 10 people, physically distance with anyone outside of it and wear a face covering when doing so is a challenge."
To date, there have been a total of 37,942 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ontario.
There was one additional death related to the virus reported on Tuesday, bringing the province's death toll to 2,753.
Currently, 120 infected Ontarians are in hospital receiving treatment, which is up from 115 on Monday.
The number of resolved cases across the province is 33,605.
