One person is dead and another is in hospital after a crash on Highbury Avenue that saw both vehicles burst into flames.
Emergency crews were called to Highbury Avenue between 8 Mile Road and 9 Mile Road around 11:20 a.m. Tuesday. A tractor-trailer and an SUV collided and both vehicles caught fire. One of the drivers was killed, while the other was taken to hospital. Police have not said which vehicle's driver died.
Highbury Avenue between 8 Mile Road and 9 Mile Road was closed for several hours as police investigated the cause of the crash. It has since reopened.
