The London Police Service said Ryan Warner went missing after being last seen Sunday morning in the area of Portsmouth Crescent
Family and police were concerned for the man's welfare, however, police said on Wednesday that Warner has since been located.
Police also thanked the public for its assistance.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
