A call about a man passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in Woodstock led police to $27,000 worth of fentanyl and several weapons.
Woodstock police were called to the parking lot of a business on Vansittart Avenue shortly before 4 a.m. on Saturday.
Police allege the man behind the wheel was impaired. A search of the vehicle turned up a large quantity of the deadly opioid fentanyl, a handgun and 12 knives.
A 39-year-old man was arrested. He is charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, operation of a vehicle while impaired, and failure to comply with a release order.
The man is scheduled to appear in court in relation to the charges at a later date.
