Two people face a list of charges after police seized a loaded handgun and almost $7,000 worth of narcotics in raids in London and Sarnia.
London police said officers with the Guns and Drugs Unit, with the help of Sarnia police, searched homes on Culver Drive in London and Confederation Line in Sarnia. They also searched a vehicle.
Police seized a loaded 9mm handgun, $5,700 worth of cocaine, $1,000 worth of MDMA, and about $5,800 in cash.
A 32-year-old from Etobicoke and a 32-year-old from Barrie are each charged with possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a loaded regulated firearm, possession of a restricted firearm without a licence, and occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm.
The man from Etobicoke is also charged with possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order and two counts of careless storage of a firearm.
The Barrie man is also charged with two counts of handling a firearm in a careless manner.
