Elgin OPP are looking for suspects after a group of people attacked two women who told them to pick up their garbage at Port Burwell Provincial Park.
The women, both of whom are in their 20s, were walking along the boardwalk Saturday night when they asked a group of between six and eight men and one woman to pick up their trash. The pair continued on, but when they walked back past the group they were confronted by one of the men. The dispute turned physical with several members of the group attacking the women before taking off toward the parking area.
The women were treated for minor injuries.
Police are now searching for those involved in the assault and are asking anyone with information to call them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
