Police looking for 'suspicious' man

London police are asking for the public's help as they try to find a man who attempted to get a 14-year-old girl to get in his car.

Police said the teen was sitting in a bus shelter in the area of Adelaide Street and Huron Street last Wednesday around 10 p.m. when a man in a red car pulled up. He told the girl to get into his car. Instead, she ran to a nearby fast food restaurant and called police.

The vehicle was last seen going north on Adelaide Street.

Police want to speak to the driver of the red, four-door sedan. He is described as a black male in his 30s, bald, and speaking with an accent. He was wearing a red shirt at the time of the incident.

This investigation is ongoing and we're asking anyone with information in relation to this incident to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in on-line anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com.
