Charges have been laid against a London man after a construction worker was threatened with what appeared to be a gun at a job site in the east-end.
Two construction workers were removing a chain-link fence at the rear of a property on Dundas Street between Rectory and Lyle streets around 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday when they got into an argument with a man in the window of a nearby home. The man threatened the workers before disappearing inside the home, according to London police.
Roughly 10 minutes later, the man returned to the window with what appeared to be a rifle. He then pointed the firearm at the construction workers and threatened to shoot, police said.
A call was made to 911 and police quickly arrived on scene. The man was arrested without incident.
A search of the home turned up a pellet gun and pellets.
A 33-year-old London man is charged with assault with a weapon and pointing a firearm. He is scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on July 30.
