Police have released the name of a 20-year-old man who died in a single-vehicle crash in Malahide.
The Ontario Provincial Police said on April 17 shortly before 11:30 p.m., the vehicle left the road while travelling north on Imperial Road, north of Calton Line. The vehicle struck a tree and caught fire, which had to be extinguished by Malahide Fire Services.
Daniel Sjoerdsma of Norwich Township was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said an investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
