Homeowner awakened by burglar in bedroom

Police are looking for a suspect after a Simcoe homeowner woke up to find a strange man standing in his bedroom.

The Ontario Provincial Police said on Saturday at around 8:55 a.m., the Brantford Road homeowner was awakened by the man who had broken into his house. After finding the man in his bedroom, the homeowner confronted the burglar, who then fled from the home.

The thief made off with the victim's wallet, which contained personal, financial information, and Canadian cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, around 40-years-old, with a slim build, dark brown eyes, and missing teeth. He was wearing a dark blue hooded sweater that had a pocket in the front, a baseball cap with a Nike symbol, and dark blue pants.
