A 20-year-old mother from Bridgenorth has been identified as the person killed in a crash on the Oneida of the Thames First Nation Wednesday.
The single-vehicle collision happened at the T-intersection of Ball Park Road and Townline Road around 6:25 p.m. Police have determined the mid-size coupe was heading south on Ballpark Road when the vehicle left the road and drove into a wooded area before coming to a stop in a field off of Townline.
Amanda Manion-Lewington, 20, of Bridgenorth was pronounced dead at the scene. She leaves behind a young son. A GoFundMe page has been set-up to raise funds for Manion-Lewington's family.
Two other people in the vehicle, a 17-year-old and a 29-year-old, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Middlesex OPP and Oneida police continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to call them at 1-888-310-1122.
