Thick fog leads to morning school bus cancellations

Dense fog that is reducing visibility out on the roads to near zero in spots has led to school bus cancellations in Middlesex and Oxford counties.

According to MyBigYellowBus.ca, all school transportation in the two counties, along with the Red Zone has been cancelled for the morning commute on Tuesday.

The afternoon buses will operate as regularly scheduled.

A full list of the cancellations can be found by clicking here.

School buses in London and Elgin County are running on schedule for the entire day.

Environment Canada has London-Middlesex, Oxford and Elgin under a fog advisory. The national weather agency says drivers should expect poor visibility in spots and allow extra time to reach their destination.

Thick fog is expected to lift later Tuesday morning.
