Hells Angels members among 10 charged in area drug bust

Ten people, including three alleged members of the Hells Angels, are facing drug and weapons charges after two tasers and more than $240,000 worth of cocaine and oxycodone, were seized during coordinated police raids across southwestern Ontario.

The joint investigation by London police, RCMP, and OPP saw homes on Stuart Street, Palmerston Place, Mountbatten Place, and Robins Hill Road in London searched last Thursday. Homes in Stratford, New Hamburg, and Kitchener were also searched at the same time with the help of the Waterloo Regional Police service.

Officers turned up 1.6 kilograms of cocaine, 2.7 kilograms of marijuana, 1.8 kilograms of cannabis resin, 10 grams of crack cocaine, 67 oxycodone pills, and three cocaine presses. The drugs have a street value estimated at $240,580.

Three sets of body armour, two conducted energy weapons, and approximately $62,000 in cash were also seized.

Joseph Stokes, 39, and John Bohnsack, 40, both of London, and Frank Strauss, 44, of Stratford are charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. According to police, the trio are full-patch members of the outlaw motorcycle gang.

Bohnsack is additionally charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.

Sheena Bowden, 35, of London, Lindy Grieve, 38, of London, Jeffrey Maslen, 40, of London, Jean Thomson, 77, of London, David Thomson, 48, of London, William Davidson, 65, of London, and Michael Fuller, 43, of Kitchener are also charged with drug and weapons-related offences.
