A fire at a home in south London on the weekend has claimed the life of a 31-year-old man.
London police announced Monday that the man, who had been found in the home by firefighters on Sunday afternoon, was pronounced dead in hospital.
Fire crews were called to the home at 67 Patience Cres. around noon on Sunday. After finding the man in the home, firefighters got him outside where he was treated by members of Middlesex-London Paramedic Services. The man was then rushed to hospital but died of his injuries.
The man's name has not yet been released.
"The London Police Service is providing assistance to investigators from the Office of the Fire Marshal," police said in a news release issued Monday. "The cause of the fire yet to be determined."
