The London Lightning defeated the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans 113-97 on Saturday.
The Lightning were off to an early start with a one-point lead with five minutes left in the first quarter. The Lightning continued their lead to end the first quarter 26-25. The Lightning were down by eight points with just over three minutes left in the second quarter and went into halftime 52-47. With just under four minutes left in the period, the Lightning managed to take a three-point lead but failed to keep that lead as the Titans took over 75-74 to end the third quarter. With less than five minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Lightning took the lead once again with eight points over the Titans. The Lightning ended the fourth quarter with a 16 point lead of 113-97.
Xavier Moon led London with 36 points and nine rebounds, while AJ Gains added 27 points and nine rebounds. Mareik Isom put up 21 points and six rebounds.
The Lightning will play against the Sudbury Five on Sunday at 2 p.m.
