What's open and closed over the holidays

No matter how you spend the holiday season, there are a number of closures to keep in mind on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Below is the breakdown of what will be open and closed in London on Wednesday and Thursday:

CLOSED on Christmas Day

Government offices (municipal, provincial, and federal offices will be closed from noon on December 24 until 8:30 a.m. on January 2) Canada Post (no mail delivery) Malls (including White Oaks Mall, Masonville Place, and Westmount Shopping Centre) Banks LCBO Grocery stores Costco Wholesale London Public Library branches Museum London and the London Children’s Museum All London arenas

OPEN on Christmas Day

Some drug stores (All Shopper’s Drug Marts locations in London will be open with varying hours, along with the Rexall location at 1593 Adelaide St. N) The London Transit Commission will be operating on holiday schedules.

CLOSED on Boxing Day

LCBO Government offices (municipal, provincial, and federal offices will be closed from noon on December 24 until 8:30 a.m. on January 2) London Public Library branches Museum London and the London Children’s Museum

Masonville Mall will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. White Oaks Mall will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Westmount Shopping Centre will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Walmart locations (hours vary depending on location) Grocery stores (hours vary depending on location) Select Beer Store locations (call ahead for hours) All London arenas The London Transit Commission will be operating on holiday schedules.
