A Shoppers Drug Mart in south London had to close for the day on Wednesday after a car crashed through its front window.
Emergency crews were called to the Shoppers at 900 Adelaide St. S around 10 a.m., after a car went through the window and ended up in the cosmetics section. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
"With the time of day the store is usually busier with pedestrians around the outside, it was very lucky no one was hurt. Very fortunate," said London Fire Department Platoon Chief Colin Shewell. "There was extensive cosmetic damage to the store. There was extensive damage to the front window area of the store, however structurally it was still safe inside the store."
This is not the first time a vehicle has hit this Shoppers Drug Mart location. It was also hit in January of this year.
