Man charged after shots fired in south London

London police have arrested and charged a 37-year-old man in connection with multiple gunshots that rang out in the south-end Sunday night.

It was just after the dinner hour when police began getting several 911 calls about gunfire in the area of Southdale Road East and Millbank Drive. Once on scene, police found several shell casings but did not find anyone with injuries.

Police announced the arrest of a 37-year-old London man on Monday.

Brent Julian Kenneth Abrams of London is charged with:

  • Possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm without a licence and registration certificate
  • Discharging a firearm in a reckless manner
  • Five counts of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order
  • Two counts of mischief under $5,000
  • Failing to comply with recognizance
  • Uttering threats of death or bodily harm
The weapon used to fire the shots has not yet been found.
