The cause of a fire at a northeast London housing complex that left one unit with extensive damage is under investigation.
London firefighters were called to the blaze at 32 Bridle Path around 4:40 p.m. on Friday. When crews arrived thick smoke and flames were seen coming out of the unit's windows.
Firefighters quickly worked to extinguish the fire.
No one was inside the residence when the blaze broke out and there were no injuries, fire officials said.
Two cats and a ferret were revived by firefighters. A third cat died.
A damage estimate has not been released.
