Knights top Steelheads 5-2

The London Knights beat the Steelheads 5-2 in Mississauga on Thursday.

The Steelheads had a strong first period by scoring twice before Ryan Merkley put London on the board 15:40 into the frame.

Liam Foudy tied the game for the Knights by scoring 6:33 into the second, and Merkley scored his second goal of the night in the final seconds of the period to give London a 3-2 lead. Alec Regula and Foudy both scored unanswered goals in the last five minutes of the game to ensure the win for London.

London goaltender Dylan Myskiw made 30 saves out of 32 shots on net.

The Knights are in Kitchener on Friday to battle the Rangers at 7:30 p.m.
