Embro woman identified as driver killed in three-vehicle crash

A 53-year-old Embro woman has been identified by Oxford OPP as the driver killed in a three-vehicle crash near Thamesford.

Sherry Lynn Wettlauffer was behind the wheel of a minivan that collided with a pickup truck and tractor trailer at the intersection of Highway 2 and 29th Line around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Wettlauffer was airlifted to hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the trucker was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, OPP said.
