North London crash sends one to hospital

London police are investigating a crash on the north side.

It happened shortly before noon on Thursday on Cheapside Street at Taylor Street in the Carling neighbourhood. According to Constable Michelle Romano, one vehicle was driving southbound on Taylor Street when it struck a passing vehicle. The southbound vehicle then jumped a curb, went through a fence and hit a house.

The driver of this vehicle was taken to hospital, with no word on their condition. The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.

The intersection was closed for over three-and-a-half hours while officers completed their investigation. Romano said the crossing has reopened.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information who has not already spoken to officers should call London police at (519) 661-5670.
