The London Knights trampled over the Saginaw Spirit on Thursday to earn a 5-1 victory at Budweiser Gardens.
Connor McMichael kicked off the game with a goal for London 31 seconds into the first period, but the Spirit scored just before the eight-minute mark to tie the game. Billy Moskal scored in the final seconds of the frame to give the Knights a 2-1 lead heading into the second.
Liam Foudy added another goal to London's lead 13:52 into the second and Josh Nelson scored early in the third to make it 4-1 for the Knights. McMichael scored his second of the night in the final three minutes to cap off the win for the Knights.
London goaltender Brett Brochu made 25 saves out of 26 shots on net.
The Knights are on the road on Saturday to battle the Erie Otters at 7 p.m.
