Suspect wanted in 'unprovoked' assault

London police are looking for a man wanted in connection with an unprovoked assault on a woman.

According to police, a 66-year-old woman was walking along a trail in a wooded area near Foxcreek Road in northwest London around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday when a man approached her.

"The unidentified suspect punched the woman in the head, causing her to fall to the ground," police said in a news release issued Wednesday. "The victim ran southbound, while the male fled northbound from the wooded area."

The woman suffered minor injuries, police said.

The suspect is described as male, possibly Middle Eastern, 5’8” – 5’10”, 120 pounds, with a slim build, short black hair, and a dark thin moustache. He is believed to be between 20 and 25-years-old and was wearing a dark long-sleeved shirt and dark pants. The man was speaking a language unknown to the victim.
