Vandals damage St. Thomas park

A St. Thomas park has been damaged by vandals, less than a month after its grand opening.

Vandals spray-painted the words "inbred" and "pride" on a light installation and sidewalk in the west end of Elevated Park. Part of the concrete light installation was also broken.

Police believe the graffiti and destruction happened sometime overnight last Thursday. They are continuing to search for suspects.

The park is open to the public from dawn until dusk. Anyone caught in the space outside of those hours could be charged with trespassing.
