London police announced Wednesday morning that Joseph "Pierre" Pronovost has been located and is safe.
Pronovost had last been seen walking his dog Meeko in the area of Emery Street West and Phyllis Street around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Concern from his family prompted police to issue a public appeal for help finding him.
Police are now thanking the public for their help with the case.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
