There will be no walkout by librarians and archivists at Western University.
An announcement was made late Monday night that the university and the association that represents librarians and archivists had reached a tentative deal, avoiding a strike.
"UWOFA-LA and Western negotiation teams are recommending to their respective parties to ratify the tentative agreement," a statement released by the university said. "Members will receive notification in the near future of dates and times for ratification votes. If members ratify the deal, Western’s Board of Governors would then vote on the agreement."
Terms of the agreement won't be released publicly until after it has been ratified.
