Three people have been taken to hospital after an overnight kitchen fire in east London.
Firefighters were called to a townhouse at 595 Third St. around 1 a.m. on Wednesday. Three occupants of the unit were taken to hospital, but the extent of their injuries is not known.
The blaze caused significant damage to the kitchen, according to fire officials. A damage estimate has not been provided.
The Ontario Fire Marshal will be assisting local fire prevention investigators in determining the origin, cause, and circumstances of the fire.
