Police investigating after shots fired

London police are looking for answers after shots were fired in the Coves area.

Police were called around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday after reports of gunshots in the area of Greenwood Avenue and Springbank Drive. When officers arrived, they found evidence that a gun had been fired several times. No injuries were reported and officers weren't able to find any damage.

"A black car and a beige or silver pickup truck were seen leaving the area immediately after the gunshots were heard," police said in a news release issued Thursday. "The car travelled south on Greenwood Avenue and the pickup truck travelled east on Springbank Drive."

Police say the investigation is in its early stages.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com.
