A 24-year-old woman from India killed in a crash north of London last Friday is being remembered for her positive influence over others.
Keerthana Susheel Tholoor, 24, of Kottayam, Kerala, India was identified by Middlesex OPP on Wednesday as the woman killed in a single vehicle rollover on Highbury Avenue North at Fourteen Mile Road on August 16.
Tholoor was a passenger in the vehicle when it veered off the roadway and rolled into a ditch. She was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle and another passenger suffered minor injuries.
Tholoor was in Canada to further her post-secondary education and was studying at Fanshawe College, according to a GoFundMe campaign launched by the London Ontario Malayalee Association. The fundraiser was launched earlier this week to help cover the cost of Tholoor's funeral.
The page describes the 24-year-old as a fine young woman, who was always very happy and had a positive influence on others. She leaves behind her parents and a sister.
"Our prayers for you and your family to go through this and keep strong. God will Shed his blessings on you. RIP," the page stated.
As of Thursday morning, nearly $33,000 toward the $50,000 goal has been raised.
Many of the donors left messages of condolences with their financial contributions.
"A beautiful soul, lost too soon even before she got her wings," wrote a family friend, while another donor simply stated, "may her soul rest in peace and her family have the courage to face the loss of their beloved one."
The GoFundMe page has been shared online hundreds of times since Tuesday.
