'Help police find the person who hit my son'

The mother of a hit and run victim is asking the public to help find the person who was driving the car that hit her son, leaving him with critical injuries.

In a weekend Facebook post (seen below), Abby Roby asked that the post be shared to assist police in their investigation into the July 21 incident that left Tristan Roby fighting for his life in hospital.

"Everyday is a new fight for him. He has gotten pneumonia which led to sepsis and now battling kidney failure" she wrote of her son in the Facebook post. "His sodium levels are too high so it would be dangerous for him to go on dialysis. That’s today I don’t know what hurdle will be in his way tomorrow."

Tristan Roby, 18, was riding his bike with a friend on Exeter Road around 11 p.m. on Sunday, July 21 when he was hit by a car. The driver stopped briefly, but then left the scene. The car was later found abandoned.

"Any information at all large or small is wanted. Please help my son have the opportunity to face this person that so radically changed his life," Ally Roby wrote.

No suspect has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing, according to London police.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com.
