A man is being held in custody after allegedly fighting with police officers who were trying to arrest him.
According to police, it happened Sunday when they responded to a report of a disturbance at a St. Thomas residence. Police were able to determine that a domestic assault had occurred and that the man was under conditions not to associate with the victim.
When officers located the man and tried to arrest him, he began to fight and resist. He was eventually arrested and charged with failure to comply with recognizance and resisting arrest.
He was taken to police headquarters and held in custody pending a video court appearance Sunday morning. The charges have yet to be proven in court.
