London police confirmed Thursday afternoon that Wayne Williams was located and is safe. He hadn't been seen since around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, prompting police to ask the public for help finding him.
Police are thanking the public for their assistance in this matter.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
