Adam J. Umbelina, 28, of London was behind the wheel of a car that hit a tree on Clarke Road, just north of Dundas Street around 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
Umbelina was pronounced dead in hospital.
The crash kept a section of Clarke Road between Dundas Street and the train tracks north of Avalon Street closed for roughly six hours.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
