Man dies in single-vehicle crash

A man is dead after a  single-vehicle crash on Clarke Road in the city's east end.

London police said they were called to the scene at around 6 a.m. Tuesday. According to police, a car crashed into a tree on Clarke Road just north of Dundas Street. One person was injured in the crash and rushed to hospital. Police announced just after 11 a.m. that the 28-year-old man died of his injuries.

Clarke Road was closed in both directions from Dundas Street to the train tracks north of Avalon Street for the investigation. It re-opened just before noon.
