Former Barenaked Ladies' frontman Steven Page and children's entertainment icon Fred Penner are among the dozens of artists set to perform at this year's Home County Music and Art Festival.
The official lineup for the 46th edition of the three-day event in Victoria Park was announced Thursday. In addition to Page and Penner, world music pioneers Delhi 2 Dublin and Canadian power-pop legends Odds are also slated to take the main stage.
London folk trio The Pairs and children's performer Saidat are among the local acts included in the lineup.
Home County, Ontario's longest running summer festival, is reliant on the work of 200 volunteers. It draws more than 55,000 people to the park each year over its three-day run. This year, roughly 50 musical acts will perform on the festival's six stages in the downtown park from July 19 to 21.
Along with the music, there will be over 120 craft vendors on site selling unique and original work. There will also be live graffiti and a live “art battle” where local artists have 60 minutes to complete a piece of art that will then be auctioned in support of the festival.
As always, admission to the festival will be by donation.
