Fourth man charged in Florence Street shooting, robbery

A fourth man has been charged in relation to an armed robbery in east London that ended with a man being taken to hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

Jay Williams, 38, of London was arrested Tuesday in connection with the February 25 robbery on Florence Street. He is charged with one count of robbery with a firearm and was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.

According to London police, three men armed with a gun, knives, and a baseball bat robbed the occupants of a home on Florence Street near Kellogg Lane in the early hours of February 25. As the men made their getaway, shots were fired, hitting one of the suspects. He was treated and released from hospital.

Two other men, Michael Lenard Gordon, 38 and Johnny Grebenchan, 28, both of London, were arrested in the days following the incident. They were charged with armed robbery.

Craig Bradley Chapman, 39, of London was also charged following the robbery and shooting. He was charged with nine offences including assaulting a peace officer, assault with intent to resist arrest, aggravated assault, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of a loaded restricted firearm without a licence, discharging a firearm with intent, and possession of a Schedule I substance.
