Swastika spray-painted on Strathroy house

Strathroy-Caradoc police are investigating after a swastika was spray-painted on the back of a north-end home.

The hateful graffiti, drawn in blue paint, was left on the Kemp Street home sometime between March 29 and April 2. The same blue spray-paint was also used on a fence and pickup truck in a second incident on Aillison Court.

The words "blue devil" and "bd" were left on the fence.

The incidents are being investigated as a hate crime.

"Police feel that this is not a reflection of our community, and believe our community to be inclusive," police said in a statement.

The public is being urged to report any similar graffiti to Strathroy-Caradoc police by calling 519-245-1250.
