Charges have been laid against a London man after police allege he sexually assaulted a teenaged girl.
According to police, the man is accused of using Facebook messenger to communicate with a 15-year-old girl between February 17 and March 8. Police said the messages led to face to face meetings with the girl.
"London police were contacted by Facebook in relation to the messages, and early yesterday morning, members of the LPS Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit arrested a man at a residence in the south end of the city," police said in a statement issued Friday.
Kristopher Foster, 26, of London is charged with three counts of sexual assault of a person under 16, three counts of sexual interference with a person under 16, three counts of invitation to sexual touching with a person under 16, and three counts of luring. The charges have not been proven in court.
Foster is to appear in court on May 21.
