Commuters in the London region could be looking at a slippery drive to work.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for London and Middlesex County, as well as a freezing rain warning for Woodstock and Oxford County, Huron County, and Perth County.
The weather agency said freezing rain is likely on Friday.
"Precipitation moving into Southern Ontario early Friday morning is likely to begin as freezing rain as temperatures are expected to be below freezing to start the day," Environment Canada said in a statement issued Thursday afternoon. "The freezing rain could last for a few hours before temperatures rise above the freezing mark."
In Oxford County, up to four millimetres of freezing rain is possible.
Drivers are being advised to be careful on what are expected to be slippery roads.
