A man faces charges after a traffic stop in St. Thomas turned up thousands of dollars worth of drugs, including heroin.
St. Thomas police said at around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officers pulled over a truck on Highbury Avenue and arrested the driver. A search of the vehicle turned up heroin, cocaine, crack, crystal meth, hydromorphone, morphine, and oxycocet. Police estimate the total value of the drugs at over $46,000.
"Investigators intercepted the drugs that were destined to be sold on the streets of St. Thomas," police said in a statement issued Thursday.
A 32-year-old man is facing nine counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
