A second man has been arrested in relation to an armed robbery in east London earlier this week that saw one of the suspects shot.
London police were originally called to the area of Florence Street and Kellogg Lane after shots rang out around 1:15 a.m. on Monday. Officers found one man with multiple gunshot wounds at the scene.
Further investigation determined three men, armed with a gun, knives, and a baseball bat, robbed the occupants of a home on Florence Street just after 1 a.m. on Monday. As the men made their getaway, shots were fired, hitting one of the suspects. He was treated and released from hospital.
Johnny Grebenchan, 28, of London has now been charged with robbery with a firearm and breach of recognizance.
On Tuesday, police announced they had arrested a 39-year-old London man not far from the scene after an officer was assaulted. A loaded firearm was seized.
Craig Bradley Chapman was charged with seven offences including assaulting a peace officer, assault with intent to resist arrest, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of a loaded restricted firearm without a licence, possession of a firearm with the serial number removed, and possession of a Schedule I substance.
He is now additionally charged with aggravated assault and discharging a firearm with intent.
